THATAWAY – PRO
The
THATAWAY-PRO sign is an indoor/outdoor sign that can be placed on patios,
backyards, barbeque areas or inside your living room or den! It is made with
color safe industrial grade plastic and is weather resistant and UV protected,
making it completely safe for outdoor use. The patent-pending THAWAWAY-PRO sign stands over
six feet tall and a half feet tall and is extremely easy to assemble.
And of course the THATAWAY-PRO is made in the U.S.A.
Industrial Grade Plastic with Color Safe
The THATAWAY-PRO sign is made with high quality industrial ABS extruded plastic, which has its color mixed at the time of manufacturing.
Weather Resistant / UV Protected
Due to its weather resistant and UV protected structure, the sign and directional slats can withstand years of outdoor use and will not fade.
Stands over 6 and a half feet tall
This sign can hold between three and eight destination slats which can be easily reconfigured, changed, or moved. In the case that your destinations change, you can always order additional or different destinations slats.
Simple assembly
The THATAWAY-PRO sign comes with three poles that easily snap together. By following your personalized directions, the slats will point EXACTLY to your desired destinations. The entire assembly can be placed on a standard umbrella stand, or can be permanently mounted outside in cement using our optional cement kit.
THATAWAY – MINI
The THATAWAY – MINI sign is built with the same materials as the THATAWAY – PRO. The indoor sign can be placed on desks, tables, book shelves,or dressers. The patent-pending THAWAWAY-MINI sign stands over 12 inches tall and is extremely easy to assemble.
And of course the THATAWAY-MINI is made in the U.S.A.

Due to its UV protected structure, the sign and its 4 directional slats can withstand years of use and will not fade.

This sign holds four destination slats which can be easily reconfigured, changed, or moved. In the case that your destinations change, you can always order different destinations slats.

The THATAWAY-MINI sign comes with two parts that easily snap together and 4 slide-over destination slats. By following your personalized directions, the slats will point EXACTLY to your desired destinations.
How it works:
The patent-pending THATAWAY sign system will point your slats / memories in the proper direction. Every one of your destinations is a specific distance and bearing from your home. When ordering your sign, you will be asked where you live. This will be the center point of the calculations. Then, order your destination / memory slats. (On the THATAWAY-MINI: 4 slats / THATAWAY-PRO 3 to 8 slats). The distance and bearing will automatically be calculated for you and shown in your personalized instructions.
Pick your Destination Slats
In this example:
Live in Miami and are choosing Vail, CO, Paris, France And Maui, HI as our memories / destinations for a THATAWAY-PRO sign.
Directions and Bearings
We will calculate the following for you from your home in Miami:
Vail, CO – 1,810 miles with a bearing of 308 degrees
Paris, France – 4,328 miles with a bearing of 45 degrees
Maui, HI – 4,735 miles with a bearing of 283 degrees
Pole Design
Each patent-pending sign has numbered facets which correspond to an approximate bearing.
We will give you in your personalized directions which number facet each slat slides over.
In this example – Vails gets facet number 7, Paris gets facet number 2 and Maui gets facet 13.
Turn the Sign to NORTH
Once you slide all of the directional slats on the faceted pole, its time to put on the cap. It can only go on the pole one way.
Now rotate the whole sign until the cap points north (you can use your smartphone which has a compass built in or any compass will do).
You are finished
Congratulations – Your sign now points in the EXACT direction of all of your memories / destinations.
BRING YOUR SIGN HOME IN 3 EASY STEPS
Your THATAWAY custom directional signs (THATAWAY-PRO / THATAWAY-MINI) allow you to point to your unique memories and places of importance in the exact direction and distance from your home.
STEP 1
Click on our design link in the STORE and choose the destinations you with like to put on your sign. The THATAWAY-MINI comes with 4 destination / memory slats. The basic THATAWAY-PRO sign package allows you highlight 3 direction points. You can order up to 5 additional directional arms (having a total of 8 sign directions). You can also order more directional slats in the future when you want to highlight a new point of significance.
STEP 2
A) Snap the posts together.
B) Using your personalized directions place each slat of the proper numbered facet.
C) Place the cap on top.
Step 3
Installation for cement / buried mount:
a) Dig a hole between 12 and no deeper than 18 inches deep
b) Insert the sign post into the hole.
c) Using a compass (Use the compass app on your smart phone), point the N marker on the cap to North.
d) Prop the post up with support beams on all sides, extending around the outside of the hole. Make sure these are secure and will not shift as the concrete is poured. NOTE: Do not bury your post deeper than 18 inches.
e) Use a level to ensure the sign post is straight.
Installation in Standard Umbrella Stand
a) Insert Sign on top of standard umbrella stand.
b) Rotate Sign until it points North by using a compass.
c) Tighten turn bolt on the stand to keep in place.
